TREASURE ISLAND, San Francisco — A San Francisco resolution approved on March 6, 2026, authorizes a combined $45.1 million state housing and transportation award for the Treasure Island redevelopment.
The public legislative record allocates $30 million as a loan to the 100-percent-affordable housing project on Parcel IC4.3 and $15,109,140 as a grant to the Treasure Island Development Authority. The transportation portion is intended to support pedestrian, streetscape and transit improvements associated with the island’s transformation.
Funding approval is not the same as completion of an apartment building or the opening of a new transport route. Specific construction schedules, housing application periods and design details must be confirmed by the project sponsors. The resolution establishes the funding authority and a framework for spending it.
What residents should know
Island residents interested in future affordable homes should track official housing lotteries and eligibility notices rather than pay anyone offering guaranteed early access. Transportation improvements will need their own implementation announcements as work proceeds.
